Educating and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals is the goal of the Belknap Memorial Premedical Proctorship, a unique program at Norman Regional that gives upper level pre-medical students (junior, senior or post grad) an up-close look at a health system.

The late Dr. Hal Belknap, with support from Norman Regional Hospital, created the pre-medical proctorship program in 1989. Belknap wanted to offer students who were seeking a profession in medicine the opportunity to experience various disciplines of the practice first hand.
